On Halloween day we carved pumpkins after school. Staucie thought it was gross and so she used my phone to take pictures. I did it without Daniel because there was never time. Luckily I only had to carve 3 pumpkins since addie dropped one and it got smashed right as were headed out to the garage. Sorry for the pictures of me.
We had our Trunk-or-Treat before Halloween. This year it was at a park since our [new] Stake Center has 4 wards in it. The kids had a lot of fun and I enjoyed tasting all the different chili dishes.
Parker is spider man, Bensen is Batman, and Staucie and Addie are both Clifford. Addie wanted to be like Staucie. The younger three were all supposed to be something different until the last minute. Staucie had known she was going to be Clifford since the previous Christmas. I drew a black nose on Addie’s nose too but then she got mad and rubbed it off before we made it out the door. Stinker.
Staucie and Parker had a story book character parade at school right before Halloween. They got to dress up as any character from a book and have a parade around the school for all the families. Staucie wanted to be Clifford the Big Red Dog and Parker wanted to be a baseball player. We had to search through all our books for one. You had to bring the book with you to school to prove it came from a story book. Luckily, after I searched, Staucie remembered a book we got from the Cherrios box that had a baseball player in it. I don’t know how she remembered that. I sure didn’t.
Our neighbors invited us to watch The Lorax movie on their driveway one night in October with them. They projected it onto their garage door. It was a lot of fun, even though I had to keep getting up to get the kids more things.
