Some Things

I had to sneak a picture of Addie sleeping because I just love peeking at my kids when they are sleeping. Look at her cute, round cheeks. So cute!
Then At&t dug a hole in our backyard. I thought it was hilarious that they dug a 5 foot deep hole to try and fix our cable. (By the way, it didn't work. Hilarious.) It was super hot and it is just cable and internet. You can see the guy sitting on our porch. There were 3 guys taking turns digging and one had a broken foot. I don't know why I thought this was all so funny, but I did. They have been working in our neighborhood for months because they screwed something up and then I thought it was funny that they ended up in our backyard for a week. They dug up the weeds in the corner for us, so that was nice. Ha.

Baby swings are a super invention and I am glad Addie will finally last a little while in it. It is kind of broken, but if you position it just right you can get it to work.
She was swinging while the kids were outside getting wet.
After the guys were done digging and putting up their "caution" fence, the kids played in their kiddie pool. Staucie and Parker are getting so tan. I wish I was. I need to spend more time in the kiddie pool I guess.
Bensen is the new guy in charge of the hose.
Another day, Daniel took a picture of the kids wearing their sun hats that are now too small. I found this picture on the camera.
I also found this one. He looks like he might have been a little sad.
And then another day, I heard some whining and found this... I think he was trying to get a ball... He couldn't get out. I took a picture before I helped him, of course. I even took a picture with my phone too, and then I helped him out.

4 in the Bumbo

Addie likes to sit up or stand up on my lap facing me. She does not like to be held like a baby unless she is tired and she has to have her pacifier in or she will scream. She thinks she is a big girl or something instead of just 2 months old. She likes sitting in the Bumbo and when I came back with the camera this time she got mad, of course. She is still cute mad though :)
Then the other kids wanted a turn...

I also find them in the baby swing and bouncer... Maybe that is why the swing is not working so well... They are all cute though so what do you do?

2 Months, 18 Months, 3 Years

The day after Parker's birthday, July 7th, I took these 3 kids in for their well-checks. When I scheduled the appointment, Addie was 2 weeks old and I asked the doctor if I could do them all at the same time. He said, "if you can do it, I can do it." So, we did it.
Those exam rooms are just too small for me and all 4 kids to hang out in for an hour. Things were fine until it was shot time! We were all glad it was over with, except we were told they were out of one of the vaccines so I would have to bring all the kids back in the next week to get it. They all needed it. Yippy. When we went back last Monday, Parker was not happy. He kept asking me about the shots the whole time. I tried to not tell them where we were going that afternoon, but they kept asking. Anyways, we all survived both trips to the doctor.

Addie had a rough day after the first set of shots. She screamed a lot and slept a lot. Her legs looked red and swollen and she would scream everytime she kicked or I moved her. She went 7 hours without nursing that morning after the shots and then after screaming through her nursing time I gave her Tylenol and right after she threw up all over me and herself. I gave her a warm bath and got her all warm and calmed down and gave her more Tylenol. Then she slept for a long time. Poor baby. When she got just one vaccine the next time, it wasn't so bad.
The kids love to play on our bed. They like to turn on the clock radio and jump around. Bensen has to use a chair to get on. I do not like it when he gets on. He scares me. The first time he fell off was yesterday and Daniel was on the bed too... Bensen cried and then climbed right back up again. Nothing scares him, unfortunately.

They are all dancing.
The boys are adjusting the music.
Aaah, we love our little Addie.
Bensen is dancing.

All the kids were healthy. Bensen is a little underweight, but that's because he doesn't like to eat, unless it is fruit snacks. Right now he won't eat dinner. I end up feeding him green beans and bread most nights. He is my most picky eater. The other 2 didn't become picky until they were two.

Parker's 3rd Birthday

We celebrated Parker's 3rd Birthday as a family on his birthday about 2 weeks ago. We used the leftover car cake I made 2 days earlier for the celebration on July 4th. Ha. What a cake. I obviously have never taken a cake decorating class.
I didn't get a picture of him with the cake because Daniel was too fast. All Parker wanted for his birthday was a blue car. He is much easier to please then Staucie.

Grandma and Grandpa Randall got him a vacuum that really works. It is nice to have some of the vacuuming done by the kids. Parker is always trying to use my vacuum so he was really excited to have his own.
The blue car we got him has buttons that make noises and one plays music. The kids are dancing to the music in this picture.
We also got Parker a Bubble Mower. The kids moved on to the kitchen to get their cake and icecream.

During the day we did things Parker likes to do. We went to the gas station and got some drinks from the fountain. And no, I did not get them Dr. Pepper. They have Cherry Limeade which is nice on hot days. After lunch while Bensen was napping, Parker, Staucie, and I played cars while watching the movie Cars. And then after naptime the kids played in the kiddie pool in the backyard. Daniel brought home pizza for dinner (mostly because I didn't want to make dinner), and then we opened presents, had cake and icecream, and then Daniel went to Scouts, of course. He went a little late this time, but had to go because they were playing soccer. Ha.

Happy Birthday, Parker!

I keep forgetting you are already 3!

Backyard Fun

This was a few weeks ago and I have been wanting to sneak these pictures in here. When it is not raining the kids have fun in the backyard with water.

Look how cute Bensen looks running!

4th of July Weekend: Addie's Blessing, A Party, Family

Independence Day
For the 4th of July weekend we had Daniel's parents visit and my Dad. We blessed Addie on Sunday and so they all came for the weekend. Ashley, Daniel's sister, was down visiting Brittany, another sister, so she was there too. We played for a few days with Daniel's parents and my dad came for just Sunday. His only day off and he was also leaving for his annual Harley ride as soon as he got home on Monday.
Sunday morning we blessed Addie and then had a BBQ at our house and then we had an early celebration for Parker's birthday with the grandparents and Aunt Ashley and their cousin Evan.
I was so glad my dad was able to come even though it was for 24 hours. It was great to see him and have him hold Addie. I think he enjoyed holding her even when she was crying :)
Gramps and Addie.

Addie was blessed in the same dress that Staucie was blessed in. My mom made it over 4 years ago. I didn't realize it was turning yellow until I put it on her. But it gives it that antiquey look like it is really old or something. I was going to save it for my sister, Tyne, but she might want a white one. ha ha.

Parker was really excited to have a party. When it was really his birthday on the 6th the kids were surprised because they thought it was already his birthday. I know I could have pretended and done all the celebrating in one day, but I felt like I was cheating him. So we just opened presents from G&G Lees, Aunt Brittany, and Great-G&G Dougherty.

Parker wanted a chocolate cake and he wanted it blue. I tried making a blue car. Staucie said it was really good, so I guess that's all that matters. As long as the kids were happy about it.
We sang happy birthday, opened presents, and then went outside to light off some fireworks that my dad bought when he got here Saturday night.

The firework show did not go well. My kids have been hearing loud fireworks outside their bedroom window since we moved here. Our neighbors buy the illegal ones and light them off all year for every holiday. Loud noises scare Parker and we couldn't convince the kids that it was fun and not too loud.
But Daniel and my dad had fun lighting them anyways.
Addie and Grandma.
Parker and Grandpa hiding in the garage.
Evan and Ashley were hiding in the garage too.
Doesn't she look thrilled?
Sparklers are fun, unless you're Parker and you like to burn your hand every year.
Bensen liked watching if I was holding him. He stayed out the whole time. The other kids ended up in the house. He really liked the snapper things that you throw on the ground.
Daniel and my Dad.

Happy 4th of July.
