Cul-de-sac

Our new house is in a cul-de-sac and we love it. It will be even better when the construction is over. It is starting to get hot. These pictures were taken before shorts.

The only down part is that we are the only ones ever outside. We miss our neighbors. There were always kids out after school. We miss them.

Addie

She is 11 months old now. Two more weeks and she will be ONE. I can't believe it. And I am quite sad about it. She is starting to practice walking sometimes too. She can stand up with out climbing or holding onto anything, she can just stand up in the middle of the room. Stinker. I love her little crawl. I will miss it. Especially when she is wearing a dress and crawls on her feet instead of knees so she doesn't kneel on her dress.

Sweet Bensen.

P.S. It is just driving me crazy that I cannot make my font the size I want it to be and that my pictures just move all over the place!!!!!! What is the DEAL!

Crazy kids

Just look how AdOrAbLe her face is! Don't you just want to squeeze her? She was climbing on my lap when I was trying to take pictures...
She is getting a little more hair on top so I tried clipping a bow in her hair. She will NOT hold still at all. And I think she still needs more hair. It just looks funny. The only time this little girl will hold still is when she is drinking her bottle. She is quite serious about her bottle.
Parker was just being crazy, but you can see his band-aid on his finger. He is not trying to flip anyone off. He smashed his finger awhile ago when helping Daniel move some bricks. His finger nail ended up falling off. He has been wearing a band-aid ever since he smashed it. First because it was bleeding and then to protect it from getting snagged while his nail was slowly falling off, and now to protect his tender finger while a new nail grows back. He will be wearing a band-aid for a VERY l-o-n-g time.
Bensen loves to throw all my pillows on the floor everyday! I always tell him no, but he has so much fun that I am not very good at being forceful about it...

One night that Daniel was out of town we had pancakes and eggs for dinner. The kids eat it so well and love it. Daniel does not love it. He does think you should have breakfast for dinner. It is always nice to feed the kids something I know they will eat when I don't have Daniel around. The night before we had pasta with Alfredo sauce and leftover ham because I knew they would gobble that up.

I gave Addie some pancake and egg too. She loved it!
Her little feet were kicking the whole time. She has crazy feet. They kick when she is happy or mad. So funny.
The other day a giant Mosquito Hawk got in our house. (They were out of control around here for awhile. The good thing though was that the Mosquitos haven't been very bad.) I didn't even know a bug got in. And then Staucie started screaming about one behind the couch. I asked who wanted to get it and Bensen, may brave, barely 2-year-old, decided that he would. I gave him some tissues and tried to position them so he could grab it. He ended up chasing it around. Every time he would try and get it, he would just touch it and then it would fly away. I ended up lightly smacking it with a shoe one time that it was on the floor. It was injured enough that Bensen could get it. He threw it in the toilet and flushed it! I love that some of my kids are not afraid of bugs. Parker ran up the stairs and watched from the landing as I would have if I could :)

Bensen's eyes always close when he smiles. I am pretty sure this came from his Grandpa Lees :)
Staucie wanted me to take a picture of Ariel. I agreed if Staucie would be in the picture too.
Parker apparently wasn't up to having is photo taken. That, or maybe he is just always trying to touch the camera!
And this is a picture of Perdy, the Dalmation. This is not Staucie. In case you didn't know.

The kids - coloring, trying cheese

Addie is like Parker when it comes to trying new foods. She will not take any medicine. I have to put it in her baby cereal and then she will be just fine. She is eating Cherrios and Gerber Puffs but it has been hard to get her to try new things. I have figured out that she will, most of the time, let me put food in her mouth if it is on her spoon. Even if she watches me pick it up off her tray, place it on her spoon, and then in her mouth. But she won't let me put it in her mouth with my fingers, like bread. I did shove in cheese the other day and she cried. There is a video at the end of her trying it again. So funny. I was laughing. Daniel said it was sad.
The kids have been doing lots and lots of coloring and cutting lately. Even Bensen, but I think he was taking his power nap at this time. I say power nap because if I let him sleep too long these days he won't go to sleep at bedtime. We just need a power nap to make it through the whole day. And yes, I did say 'we.'

I believe this was there 'car' at the time. Or maybe an airplane. They usually want to fly to Utah to see Aunt Tyne.

Staucie wanted a picture of her eye.

Oh my Addie, she is so funny. She throws good fits every now and then, but they don't last long. It is usually when it is time to get her jammies on and when it is time for a nap and to go to bed. But I don't blame her, we do have fun.
