Halloween treats

Trunk-or-Treating

After Staucie woke up from her nap (she took a really long one today) we packed up and went to Daniel's work to go trick-or-treating through his office. We brought the camera but forgot to take pictures. Staucie was really shy and afraid of everyone, but she loved getting candy to put in her bucket and loved eating Smarties. Then we got home and Daniel came home a few minutes later and we all ate really fast and packed up again and went to the church for Trunk-or-Treating. Staucie loved being outside and getting more candy to put in her bucket. She doesn't really know that much about candy and just liked the ones that looked like balls.

Halloween crafts

We did a lot on our Halloween day. After Parker went down for his morning nap Staucie and I made Halloween pictures and baked sugar cookies. We made pumpkins, ghosts, and a spider. Staucie loved the spider! I think she likes spiders so much because one of her favorite songs is "Itsy Bitsy Spider." (I HATE spiders. I have a fear of them.) I actually decorated the cookies after Staucie went down for her nap because we got too busy for her to help me. We should have decorated them yesterday so she could have helped. Anyway, she also liked gluing things.

Throwing Balls

Daniel and Staucie like to lay on the floor on their backs and throw balls into the air and catch them. As long as I have known Daniel he has always been throwing a tennis ball in the air on his back. Staucie thinks it is a fun game and makes me do it with her too. Today she decided she wanted to try it with the giant excersize ball. She was never able to actually throw it but she liked holding it.

Stoller Accident

So, Daniel was carrying Staucie into Parker's room (where the diapers are) tonight after he had given her a bath and Staucie's stroller was laying down right in front of the door. Daniel did not see it and stepped on it and tripped and stumbled and fell...down went Staucie too. Well, Daniel and Staucie recovered from their fall, but sadly the stroller did not. It is made of metal and the handle bent and then broke off when I tried to bend it back. Daniel has a cut on his ankle from the metal. Staucie will miss her stroller, but the metal is sharp now so it is going to the trash. :(

Cornbellys

So Monday we went to "Cornbellys" to play. It was made for older kids but Staucie still had a blast because she was able to run around outside and go down a few different slides. There was also a tractor ride that I went on with her and some big giant slides that I went down with her. We actually flew down the big slide and at the bottom was mud so my bum got muddy! We also jumped on a big bubble, tried a "haunted" creature (but snuck out the side because it was too dark for Staucie), ate a hot dog and picked out a pumpkin. We didn't take very many pictures, we took more video with the other camera. Parker slept most of the time in his stroller. After we played at "Cornbellys" we went home, fed Parker, and tried to put on Staucie's Halloween costume (she didn't want to wear it - she was a princess) and ran over to the clubhouse for Family Night with a few other families in our ward. We had Halloween treats and played for a little while and then went home and we were exhausted. We had been gone all day, grocery shopping, visiting Daniel at work, killing time in the car while we waited for "Cornbellys" to open (it didn't open until 4 and we got there at 2:30), and then playing at "Cornbellys", and then going to the Family Night activity.

Barnyard Boo

Today we wanted to take Staucie to Thanksgiving Point to play and pick a pumpkin. Well, it was freezing today and even snowed, but we went anyway because it is the only chance we have. Sadly "Cornbellys" was "Closed Temporarily due to bad weather." So we went into "Barnyard Boo" and looked at the animals. Parker slept most of the time and Staucie LOVED the animals, especially the ducks. She didn't want to touch any of them of get too close and got scared when the crazy donkey ran up to us (he was in a pen so he couldn't get to us). But she loved to watch them. Then inside she played pumpkin bowling and got two bouncy balls (her favorite), got a balloon pumpkin from a scary clown lady, and went fishing for a spider which she gave to me. She had so much fun and cried when we left. We are going to try and go back Monday night for family night after Daniel gets home from work. She is crying in this picture of all of us because she didn't want to leave. It was freezing!

Daddy's Little Pumpkin

My mom bought Parker a little onesie that says "Daddy's little pumpkin" for Halloween. He tried it on today.

Tummy Time For Both

When I lay Parker on this pillow Staucie likes to lay with him. Then when he is done she lays on the pillow like he was, either on her tummy or back. She is so funny. Parker loves to watch her.

Does She Know Something?

Before we finally hung up this picture it was leaning against the wall where I wanted it and Staucie would often kneel in front of it just looking at the Savior. Do you think she knows who He is? I would ask her if that was Jesus and she would smile.

Sharing a Bed

Staucie wanted to get in bed with Parker the other morning, so they both laid there watching and listening the mobile. Parker didn't last long. He just woke up and was hungry. Staucie was mad when Daniel made her get out. Silly girl.

Sliding at the Park

Staucie loves playing on the slide at the park in our complex. We try to go often.

Remeber When...

Remember when 3 months ago Parker only weighed 6 lbs 14 oz and had skinny arms and legs with wrinkly skin and a tiny face. Why do they have to grow so fast? They will never be tiny again. He is wearing a preemie onsie in these pictures and now there is no way he could squeeze into it. I still have it sitting out because I am too sad to put it away.

Three Months

Parker is 3 months old today. The time flew by way too fast. Time flies when you have more than one kid. He has grown fast. He is already rolling over. I found him on his back (he sleeps on his tummy) after a nap just staring at his mobile. He has rolled over a few times in front of us too.

Things Parker can do:
Roll from his tummy to his back
Eat his hands
Blow bubbles
Reach out and touch the toys in front of him
Hold a pretty good conversation
And he is very smiley

Quality Time Together

Staucie loves to hang out with Parker. Whenever he is on the floor she lays with him. If Parker is on his tummy then so is she. If he is on his back then so is Staucie. She gives him toys, food, and even her blanket. She asks for him to sit next to her on the couch and always wants to help carry him. Cute kids!

Yeah for Nursery

Staucie went to nursery really well 3 times and then was done. The next couple times she would not go! Last Sunday I went in with her and helped her make this picture and then when it was lesson time, I put her on a chair in the middle of the other kids and snuck (sp?) out. She stayed the whole time. Yeah for Staucie! It was hard to put her in there the first time because we love her with us, but it sure is nice to hear the lesson in Sunday school. She likes to "play" with her picture by ripping off all the stickers. I find them everywhere.

Some Things We Do...

The Butterfly

Parker's new thing to do is to "play" with his butterfly. He LOVES to look at it and can touch it with his hands. It is his favorite thing to do besides standing in front of us.
