The Stairs, The Fall

This past Wednesday Tyne, Staucie, Parker, and I went up to my grandparent's house to visit and to get my mom. Staucie loved the stairs and spent most of the day climbing up and down. One time on her way down she fell. She was only on about the third step on her way down and she got distracted and stood up. She lost her balance and fell all the way down the stairs. She would have been okay except, when she got to the bottom she smashed her face into the wall. Her face looked pretty bad at first, but by bedtime it looked way better. Now you can barely see the bruise on her head. She was tough and only cried for a short time and then was ready to climb the stairs again. No fear!

She made us carry a bucket or wagon full of balls up and down the stairs with her. She is obsessed with balls.

Halo Players!

Parker joined the big boys and played Halo!

Grandpa's Birthday Party!

Great-Great-Grandpa Hunsaker turned 99. His children had a party for him in Salt Lake City. It was nice to go to and celebrate with him.

The Big People Table

Staucie loves to sit at the kitchen table (which is a card table, but hey, it's all we have). She recently discovered she can get up and down all by herself if she puts her stool/booster chair next to the big chair. She loves to get up and down and eat her bowl of crackers or Cherrios. She can't hold still, but has only fallen off onto her head once! She thinks that now that she is a big sister that she should sit at the big table. Of course, she still likes her highchair, which is where she eats most of her meals since she can't hold still and likes to throw food. I have tried telling her no, but she just repeats me while throwing more food. I have also tried softly smacking her hand and saying no when she does things she shouldn't but then she just says no and hits my hand too. She thinks it is a game. She has a lot of energy and sometimes she just goes crazy and throws everything and hits me and Parker. We have been hit by her and flying objects many a time, but we love her so!

Our Wiggly Little Man

We have another baby who does not like to be cuddled unless he is tired. Parker likes to stand or sit, but mostly stand, in front of us. He likes to look at us and smile and make cute sounds. As cute as it is, I also wish he would let me love him more than just when he is tired. He is so wiggly!

Making Messes!

I accidently left the game closet open...

Scary Eyes

Parker likes to make "scary eyes." Since he was born he has always looked scared. He does it a lot less now, but I hope he really isn't afraid of us!
This is a picture of him the day he was blessed. I took about a hundred pictures and he looks frightened in all of them. Poor guy. He still has yellow eyes in his blessing picture too. Luckily that is all cleared up now.

The Toy Basket

Staucie's favorite thing to do right now is to empty her toy basket and get in it. Well, I was trying to clean up her toys and she was in the basket...

Daddy's Clothes

Daniel's mom sent Parker an outfit that Daniel wore when he was a baby. So we had a photo shoot with the outfit on. Parker was super excited!

But mostly he just wanted to eat his hand...

Shots!

Yesterday was doctor day. Staucie had her 18-month check up and Parker had his 2-month check up.  They both had to get shots :(They both cried while the doctor and nurse did their thing but both are doing great!!)

STATS:

Staucie weighed in at barely 22 pounds (16% - so she is moving up the scale now).
And she is 33 inches tall!! (82% - she is long and skinny.)
Parker weighed in at a whopping 11.10 pounds (47%).
And he is 23 inches long (59%).
I am glad that my kids are growing and are healthy, but I am sad to see them grow so fast. Parker started off at 6.14 lbs and is already at 11.10 lbs. I am sad to see them grow up so fast.

The doctor's office is a new experience by yourself with 2 kids. They were both crying and it took an hour and a half. Plus it took a half an hour to get there and a half an hour to get home! Parker got 5 shots and Staucie just got one. Staucie seems to be doing fine so far, but I think Parker is feeling sick today from all his shots.

Two babies!

Staucie and Parker are wearing the same outfit, and although Parker looks bigger, I think Staucie was older in this picture. They both have their well-checks on Friday (Staucie's 18 month check-up and Parker's 2 month). I guess we can compare who is bigger then. I am pretty sure Parker will be bigger though. He was smaller when he was born but he had already gained 3 pounds by 5 weeks old and Staucie just recently made it to 20 pounds. They are so different in their personalities, but they are both so cute and fun in their own little way. Staucie will have a lot more fun with Parker when he gets a little older!

Sweet Parker

Parker was wide awake so I sat him up to take pictures and he fell asleep. And he is trying on his shoes! Parker is growing very fast and I just put him in size 1 diapers today because we are having too many blowouts!

Silly Staucie

Staucie LOVES her stroller and that yellow thing is her "blanket," which is actually a wearable blanket that doesn't fit her anymore but she can't live with out it. Staucie likes to empty her toy basket and get in it. She just likes to make messes and tries to get inside everything. She is being silly today.

An Update

Daniel and I have recently moved. We bought a condo in P.G. and are still trying to organize everything. We are excited to have 3 bedrooms and a large family room and kitchen now. (I have 13 drawers in my kitchen! I used to have 1 regular drawer and 2 that were half the size of a real drawer.) I have so much space in my kitchen now that even Staucie has her own drawer to play in.

We also just added another babe to our family, well, he will be 2 months old on the 6th. It has been so much fun to have another baby in our little family. Parker is a perfect little baby. He never cries! He is SO mellow compared to Staucie who is very loud and busy. I have him sleep right next to me because he doesn't cry and I am afraid I won't hear him when he is hungry. He is starting to cry a little more, but we can still go a whole day without hearing it. It has been really easy with our wild little Staucie who needs a lot of attention.

Staucie is a great big sister. She loves to look at him and give him his pacifier when he loses it. She loves to put him in his carseat and take him where ever we go. She says, "Ba-by, ba-by, ba-by" over and over until we get him. Then she tries to help carry him. She also does really well while I feed him. We read a lot of books while mommy feeds Parker!

Daniel is enjoying his job for now and we are loving our new home. There is lots of room for Staucie to run!!!
