So we are moving in 2 weeks. This is kind of sudden. Daniel had a job interview in November and we have been waiting forever to find out. We didn't really think it was going to happen. Then a week ago he got the job offer and we accepted. He starts soon so we are busy trying to figure things out...
Lets start with the good...
1. Great career move!
2. Daniel will be happy at work.
3. Daniel's sister, Brittany, and her husband, Matt, live there. Daniel will actually be working for the same company as Matt.
4. We will hopefully rent a house and I will be able to send the kids in the backyard to play almost whenever they want. (We live on the 3rd floor.) So, all day long when Staucie asks to go outside, I can say, "Sure," instead of, "Parker is sleeping, Bensen is sleeping, it is snowing, I have to cook dinner, I am still in my pajamas, etc."
5. It doesn't snow.
6. A new adventure.
And the bad...
1. I will really miss my family and friends.
2. BUGS!!!
3. I love our home. It is new, clean, open, and I just love it.
4. BUGS!!!
5. It will be too hot in the summer.
6. BUGS!!!
7. We will be renting an old place.
8. BUGS!!!
9. So far we haven't been able to sell or rent our condo.
10. BUGS!!!
11. My family will be far away.
12. BUGS!!!
13. BUGS!!! (I have a very serious fear of bugs.)

I'm so excited for ya'll! It is really hot in the summer but perfect the rest of the year. The bugs aren't that bad, just don't go camping.
How exciting! It'll be nice to have Brittany there, otherwise it could be a lot harder. AND, you'll be around when her little guy comes! Congrats to Daniel. Can't wait to hear more details. I'm actually surprised none of this possible news leaked, ya know? ;)
What an exciting change for you guys! My sister-in-law and her family live in San Antonio, so maybe we'll stop by and say hi to you guys on our way out to see them sometime! :) Just think of those bugs as household pets. lol.
Boo Hoo....I am really glad that Daniel is so excited his new job. But WHY is everyone moving to far away Texas????
How exciting for you guys!! Yes, bugs AND humidity are two nasties of the south, but the nice people make up for it! You'll just have to start wearing Texas Perfume (bug spray) in the summer! Let me know if you need boxes. Mark can get great ones (all the same size) from work. We could bring them to Easter dinner. Congrats!
Congratulations on the new job! I am so excited for your family...new beginings are great!
Ahh congrats, i'm sad your moving but we never saw eachother anyway, right? I hear texas is a nice place to live. Let us know if you need any help moving..
oh my goodness! so soon? we will definitely miss you guys.
yes, the bugs are a big negative about texas but it will become your home and you'll love it. just buy a kiddie pool for the summer and you can sit out there with the kids every day.
WHAT???????????? OK we MUST get our babies together before you leave. I will call you.
Good luck with the bugs. Don't let your children kick over any ant hills. I did that when I was 2 yrs. old (when I used to live in Texas)and got bit all over my legs by red ants. Ouch!!! And watch out for scorpions:) It'll be an adventure. We are going to miss you guys though. You have such a neat family. You probably don't know this Sheena, but I have really admired you and think you are a great example to me of being a great wife and mother.
haha I love how you put BUGS so many times. At least no scorpions like Danielle has to deal with, right? I am SUPER excited that you guys are moving down here. I can't wait to be closer to you guys and my cute niece and nephews. I am sorry you will be missing your family and friends though. We will just make trips to Utah for visits together =)
Oh, I just read the comment before mine...I have not seen a scorpion yet, so I better not soon!
i think you should add another good thing is that i'm only three and a half hours away! i am just so excited for you guys to be closer (bethany and jared, come on out here!). I guess we will brave the bugs and heat together since i've yet to experience a full texas summer! The winters are amazing i'll tell ya that! love you guys so much and can't wait to see you in a few weeks.
We are very excited for you guys. Adventures are good for us. I know what you mean about sudden. I had one week to get ready when we moved here. It was crazy. Things will work out. I did not know that Texas has bad bugs. If I can do it in AZ you will be great in Texas.
I am so excited and jealous! I am sorry sheena you hate bugs so much but everytime i have been to britt and matt's I haven't seen any bugs at all! St. George seems to have way more to me. You can always gets your apartment sprayed too. I dont' blame you though, i hate bugs too! Hopefully it won't be as bad as you think it will be. I love texas! I love the warmth! I love the humidity! I would love to go with you guys! I am so proud of you daniel, way to go! I hope everything goes well with you being able to sell your house! We will sure miss you... but who knows maybe we will be neighbors =)
Congratulations, Daniel, on landing this perfect job. We hope you & Sheena and your little ones will be happy in Houston...and that you will love your job. I left you a phone message the other day...perhaps you didn't get it. We will miss you so very much!!! Houston seems so far away. I don't know about scorpions, but my sister Peggy used to live in Laredo when her hubby was in the Air Force, and she went in a phone booth to use the phone once, and there was a big Tarantula curled up in the mouthpiece. So, don't use phone booths. Just have yoru house sprayed for bugs once a month, and you will be fine. And..there is a beautiful temple there!!! Come back to see us once in awhile. Looks like our Easter dinner this Sunday will be our last dinner together for awhile. We wish you lots of HAPPINESS!! We will miss our darling little great-grandkiddies.
