Wall Drawings

"Parker Did It!"
That's what Staucie would say, this time it was true.
None of my kids have colored on the walls or anything they weren't supposed to on purpose, until today. I thought Bensen would be the first since we can't keep that kid out of the trash, bathroom, fireplace, crayon box, etc.
The kids and I had a real rough day today. The kids have not been sleeping well lately. They have been sick too, again. We have been fighting it since September and it just won't go away! I cannot remember the last time Daniel and I slept through the night with no interuptions. Kids always wake up, but we would always get a few breaks where no one would wake us up. But every night for a few months now all the kids wake up at least once and none at the same time. Last night they all woke up at least twice and never at the same time. And there are 3 of them.
.
Anyways, I have been VERY sleep deprived lately and have been awake since 4 am today. I tried to pass out while Staucie was at school and Bensen was napping and Parker wanted to watch Backyardigans, but Parker wouldn't have it. Ugh. It resulted in another day full of tears for all of us. I hate days like today.
.
Anyways, Parker decided to end the day by coloring on the wall and door of his and Staucie's bedroom. He did it while I was finishing dinner and Daniel had just come home from work. Then Daniel went off to scouts. Always the night that I need him the most :) I should be used to it since he has been going for almost 5 years now.

I am so sorry Sheena. But, believe it or not, these are great memories you're making. I hate to admit that I actually laughed when I saw that first picture. I hear Mr. Clean's magic eraser does the trick of getting crayon off the wall. Hang in there. Sooner than you know they'll all be grown up and you'll be wishing for these days again. It's true!!

Be careful with the Mr. Clean's magic eraser, it can take off paint too! Jared's been gone 3 of the last 5 weeks traveling. Being in town just long enough to pass his cold to Sadie then me! Luckily we are getting better now and his traveling days should be over for a bit.

Ditto about the magic eraser removing paint too... lucky for you it's a rental! HA. I used to trap my kids in a safe room with me and turn on a movie for them and sleep on the couch. I have the same ugh feelings about Caleb going to YM. He walks in the door long enough to change his clothes and grab a sandwich and off he goes. I guess we'll appreciate it more when our kids are in the YW/YM program and we want them to have good leaders.

Oh Sheena, that is so hard!! I know that when our girls were sick I was so exhausted since, between the two of them, they were up 4,5, or 6 times a night. I kept thinking "this is more times than a newborn wakes up". I was so tired, and I can't imagine how tired you must be with 3 sick kids, plus being pregnant at the same time. You are awesome! We miss you! Oh, and I love the pictures of the wall =)
