Hopefully one more post and I will feel caught up for awhile...

Mischievous diaper twins
Beads up a Nose

The backyard is SuNnY!

It is H-O-T.
 Don't squirt the camera!
In the background you can see the boys squirting Staucie in the back :)
I was just sweating. I should just get in with them so I am not so hot, but it seems like too much work after getting 4 kids ready, sun screened, and pools and toys out... so, I just sweat... I was moving sprinklers around though...
And the kids squirted my feet for me... Bensen kept trying to squirt my face.

(I cut Staucie's hair off the other day because she is in a bad habit of chewing on it. Hopefully by the time it grows back she will have stopped. I like it longer then it is so I hope I won't have to cut this short again.)

 Popsicle time!
And Addie was real thirsty. She always lets me know when she needs water. She has her water and popsicle.

I said, "smile," and got this...

Some of the extras in July

"Take my picture, mom."
The Cheerio book. Much more fun to eat Cheerios this way.

Who gets to clean up the spaghetti tortellini face? Mom, of course! Oh, but it is such a cute face that I don't mind!
I love when she makes her "Say, Cheese!" face!
 Night, night.

Sorry for my face, but it's a mommy and son shot! His idea.
They sure are cute, even though the older two look mad...

A few blue walls

I am s-l-o-w-l-y getting some walls painted. My sister wanted to see some pictures...
All of our walls were painted white will FLAT paint (the stuff you can't clean). So far all I have done is 3 of the living room walls. I am also slowly deciding what and where to hang things.
I also want one more panel for each of the 2 windows. Daniel thinks I only need one for each...

Please excuse the quilt that is also a slow process. I really can't do anything during the day while these crazy, and adorable, children are awake. All must be done at night when I am exhausted :) Bethany said it has taken them 5 years to get their home the way they want it. So, here's to 5 years!

The Eye Patch = Pirate Baby!

Addie met with her ophthalmologist over a week ago. She had her eyes looked at and even had them dilated to see if she had lost any vision prior to her eye surgery in December. Addie's eyes were doing great, but she has now developed a condition called Ambloypia (or Lazy Eye): "Any problem in the normal development of vision during childhood can cause amblyopia. When the eyes are not looking at the same thing at the same time, the eyes struggle with each other. The brain is forced to choose between the eyes. Sometimes, the brain goes back and forth between eyes, and vision is good in both eyes. Sometimes, one eye is favored while the other eye is suppressed or ignored. If this continues, sight in the eye that is ignored may be lost."

Addie's brain is favoring her right eye and her left eye is becoming weaker. After the surgery her eyes were straight for awhile, but over the last while we have noticed her left eye turning in sometimes. Usually when she is tired or just staring at nothing. I was hoping that we were just being paranoid, but wasn't so hopeful as time went on. So, I was glad that it was time for her follow-up appointment.

Fortunately, her vision is good right now and she does not need glasses. But she does need some help with her left eye. We will be patching her "good" eye everyday for a couple hours. She will see her ophthalmologist again in three months. Hopefully she will show some improvement.

The first day I patched Addie's eye she was mad for only about 30 minutes. She fought me for a few days just when I would put it on and then she was fine. Now she just lets me put it on and is fine while wearing it. The only time she cries is when I have to rip it off and that is because it hurts. Today, though, she didn't even cry when I took it off, which makes me cry. She is such a good sport about this. I dreaded the patch because of how hard it was before her surgery, so I am so happy that it is going so well this time. I just know that angels are watching over our sweet little Addie. She is blessed and so are we.

I tried getting some pictures of her with it on one morning, but she would not hold still, of course. She rarely does :) I drew an eye on her patch this day. I normally don't color on them :)

When we are out in public when she is wearing her patch, lots of kids point and tell their mom to "look at that baby." And they ask their mom why the baby is wearing that on her eye. Or ask what happened to her eye. The moms usually shush their kids and whisper something. Kids are cute. And hopefully we will get this taken care of before she gets older and notices :)

Parker's Friend Party

Parker and Staucie kept talking about Parker having a friend party, so at the last minute I went for it. I invited the Sunbeams in Primary, his cousin Noah, and the kids invited the girl who lives next door who they have fun playing with. We partied on Saturday, July 9th. It was cloudy, which was kinda nice, except it felt real humid, but we are used to that.

We set up kiddie pools and the slip and slide in the backyard. The kids played, sang Happy Birthday, opened presents, and ate cupcakes, snacks, and popsicles.

(Unfortunately, I ended up in this picture)
Parker had a lot of fun. Hopefully, his friends did too!
I enjoyed talking to their moms!

Parker's 4th Birthday!

Parker Daniel turned 4 on July 6th!

He blew out 4 candles.
He was so excited to finally open presents!
Addie was excited too, I think!
He got a car play mat/rug.
And his siblings helped him open the presents.
He loves his SUPER SOAKER!
"Cheese."
The girls drove cars...
While the boys opened the guns!
Oh, Addie. You are crazy.
Then we went in the backyard to play so Parker could use his Super Soaker!

Happy Birthday, Sweetheart.
Parker is a funny kid. My favorite quote recently:
Me: "Parker, did you pee in your pants again?"
Parker: "Just a little bit."
Me: "This is ridiculous."
Parker: "No, you're ridiculous!"
And I agree with him. Sometimes I am ridiculous.

Parker loves music and has good rhythm, never eats his dinner, is good at drawing and coloring, loves his cars, is loud, is friendly, loves to play outside, loves his Daddy, only wants to eat cookies and candy, gags on certain textures of foods, says funny things, does funny things, makes us laugh, has a hard time sleeping, will talk to strangers, is terrified of dogs, is getting used to loud thunder (but it still makes him nervous), loves me to read "Truckery Rhymes," and is a sweetheart. We love him!
