Tyne's Wedding

My little sister, Tyne, got married to Kyle Gleue on Friday, March 6th in the LDS Oakland Temple. My parents flew us there for the wedding. It was a busy, fun, too quick weekend. I wanted to stay longer. Tyne looked gorgeous and she was so giddy with happiness! Kyle looked great too.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Great-Grandma Mortensen,
We hope you have a great day!
We love you.

Staucie got some Fancy Nancy stuff for Christmas from my mom but she didn't wear the skirts a lot because she didn't have a matching shirt, heaven forbid. So my mom made her shirts to match the skirts for her birthday, now she wears the oufits everyday.
My mom also made her this white dress with a veil for her birthday because Staucie was jealous of Tyne's wedding dress. She also wears her wedding dress everyday. She is a little put out that she does not have shoes for this dress.
Daddy and Bensen.
My kids are all sick and Parker was eating Fruit Loops the other morning and got a piece of one stuck to his face, glued on by snot. Isn't he cute!
The kids found the bowl of grapes while I was making dinner. When I open the fridge they climb in so I can't shut it and like to take all the condiments out of the door. Then they found grapes!
Parker is already growing out of naps. He didn't take one on Saturday. Then on Sunday we got home from church at 2:00pm so he didn't take one either. (I like them to go to bed on time instead, or even early.) Well, since he didn't nap Saturday either he was pretty tired and fell asleep on the couch when I was making dinner. We thought it was cute since he has never done that before.
And my baby Bensen. He is growing SO FAST!!!

Birthday Party!

Staucie was SO excited to wake up in the morning and see all the decorations and balloons for her birthday. She was also excited for Aunt Tyne to come over and make her birthday cake. She picked out her own outfit for the day and this is what she wore...

Aunt Tyne made her a Barbie cake. The only Barbie Tyne could find was dark!
Opening presents, there were lots.
Aunt Lindsay and Bensen. Lindsay held him all night so he wouldn't cry. Thanks Linds!m
Staucie, Sadie, and Parker playing with Staucie's new kitchen.
Staucie had a blast opening presents. She had been looking forward to it for a long time. Thank you to all that came. She got lots of dress-ups, clothes, and kitchen stuff. She has worn all her new clothes MANY times. She loves to change her clothes all day and accessorize each new outfit.

My Babies

I love my babies. My sister gets married in 2 weeks and I still have so much weight to lose. I have been trying to diet, but I like to eat and have a huge appetite when I am nursing. I have also been working out 5 to 6 times a week since Bensen was 3 weeks old, so that is 4 weeks now. I feel like I have so far to go and only 2 weeks left. I gain a lot with each pregnancy and it is hard to lose the weight. I gain all the weight from the waist up too, so it is pretty hard to hide the extra weight. Ugh. I am going dress shopping in a week and I am not looking forward to it. I went shopping last weekend and ended up bawling in the dressing room and going home. It is a good thing I love my babies.

New Table and a Crazy Day

Daniel did our taxes a little while ago and because we are considered poverty we get a pretty good chunk of change back, so Daniel bought me a KITCHEN TABLE!!!!! Yeah! We have had a card table for 3 years that my dad bought us and I am so excited to have a REAL table. It feels weird to eat at such a big table. We got it half off at RCWilley at their President's Day Sale! (The rest of the money will go to hospital and doctor bills from having Bensen, yippy. Daniel really wants a TV.)
Today I threw a Bridal Shower for my sister, Tyne. It started off bad because last night Daniel took Parker to the Emergency Room because he was having trouble breathing. Turns out he has croup and is on steroids for it and sleeping with a humidifier. We didn't get to bed until 2:00am. Then Bensen woke me up at 5:00am to eat and I finally crawled back into bed at 6:50am. Our kids wake up at 7:00am.

Daniel was in and out of bed when they woke up trying to keep them happy with cartoons and Cherrios while we tried to sleep a little longer. Then I finally looked at the clock at 8:40am and jumped in the shower. Then we went crazy all morning trying to feed all 3 of them, and hold Paker and Bensen because they were crying, straighten up the house, prepare all the food, decorate, and get ready. The shower started at 11:00am.

My sister-in-law, Amy came at 10:30am to help with food but had to bring her almost 13 month old (and she is 8 months pregnant) because my brother was working. So while we juggled all 4 kids we raced to finish it all. Guests started to arrive and they were put to work too. When Tyne came, she was given Staucie and Parker to hold. My grandmother held Bensen. Then the chocolate fountain decided not to work...

Anyways, after all that, the party was great. The rest of the day... not so much :)

Blessing

This past Sunday Bensen was blessed. Our parents came from California to be here with us for the weekend. We had a good, and busy, weekend with family. We are always so happy to have our parents visit. We are also so very grateful for all that they do for us. We love you, moms and dads, and our children adore you too. Thank you for blessing our lives and our childrens'. (I didn't take any pictures because I forgot. These are of Bensen a couple days later in the outfit Daniel blessed him in.)

Sister & Brother

As hard as it can be sometimes to have my 3 little babes, I am so grateful that Staucie and Parker love each other. And they already love Bensen. "Ba-by," says Parker.

One Month and One Day

Bensen is a month old now. It flew by.
Having 3 isn't as hard as I thought. Even the days I am pooped on, peed on, got hit pretty hard in the head with a book, am still in my pajamas at 1:00pm, and the house is a disaster. I have only cried once since my mom left so I think we are doing okay.
Bensen is growing fast. He is really long and seems so much bigger already. When he is awake, which is a lot more lately, he has a loud, high-pitched scream that is ear piercing. The other 2 kids are deprived of my attention a lot during the day while I am either feeding Bensen or trying to soothe him. But hopefully this phase will pass and we will get into some kind of routine and Bensen will be happy to be awake when he gets a little older. I just wish I could be 3 people during the day.
We love our little Bensen and we are happy to have him in our family. Staucie and Parker are good to him and love him too.
