Staucie's Birthday Party

We started off the birthday morning by going out to eat at IHOP with Aunt Tyne and Grandma Randall. Daniel was a good sport to take us all, he doesn't like breakfast or going out to eat :)

After the naps we went to play at Kangaroo Zoo. Tyne played with us while Grandma stayed with Parker. Staucie LOVED going down all the slides and was so cute with her BIG eyes and her giggle as she ran back around to go down again.
After we got back everyone came over for the little party. Aunt Tyne made Staucie a duck cake that was really cute and yummy. She also made cupcakes in icecream cones too.
Staucie got a LOT of presents

And our cute Aunt Lindsay!

Thank you to all who came to celebrate with us and for the many presents, Staucie thanks you all! And we love you all too!

Now that Parker is finally eating (still not eating anything except cereal, I try to sneak fruits and veggies into his cereal) we can all eat at the table together. Daniel took a piture of our first family dinner. Parker usually just jumped in his Jumperoo or I held him during dinner, now he is a big boy!
Daniel often gives Staucie rides around the condo at night. She tells him where to go and what to do. She tells him "up" and "down" and which way she would like to go.
Staucie sometimes demands that Parker should go in her stroller. He doesn't mind it for a little while. He smiles and kicks his feet. Staucie always makes sure to give him a toy too. She says Parker's name, but it sounds like "Bubba." So now I find myself calling Parker "Bubba" too.
Parker made it to the kitchen this morning. I don't know where he was going. I think he wanted to eat some cereal or something, ha ha. He is exploring more and more everyday. Sometimes he sees something he wants and he can move pretty quickly to get to it. It is usually something of Staucie's and when she sees him going for it she hurries to save it from Parker. They are both funny kiddies and I just LOVE them so much.

Pushing Parker in the Baby Stroller

This video is so funny to me. Tonight while I was finishing dinner Daniel decided to try Parker in Staucie's baby stroller. So, then after dinner while Daniel was doing the dishes Staucie wanted Parker to go in the baby stroller so I put him in and buckled him in and Staucie pushed him around the island in our kitchen. Parker just sat in there kicking his little feet and chewing on a toy while Staucie did whatever to him. It was so cute and so funny, especially when she would whip around a corner and scare me because she would almost run him into a wall. I had to follow close behind because I have seen what she does to her baby that she loves. Oh, and she screamed and threw a fit when we took him out, but Parker was done, he was tired and needed his mommy.

My Husband

His full name: Daniel Gordon Lees

Who asked who on 1st date: Well, the first date was sort of set up so that we could go out with our friends, but we already knew we wanted to date each other. Then the next weekend Daniel asked me on a date. He already knew I would say yes so he asked me out.

Who said I love you first: Daniel did, but I kinda made him. He wanted to tell me but it took a little while to get up the courage. I won some bet so he had to tell me he loved me!

How long did you date: We started dating the end of February 2004 and were married in December of 2004. We met in September of 2003, but didn't become friends for awhile (he was shy).

Who proposed: Daniel, but I knew it was coming because we had already set a date. I had to talk him into marrying me.

*Wow, it's amazing that we are married with me pushing him into dating me and then telling me he loved me and then forcing him to marry me! Poor Daniel! Too bad he is stuck now :)

Who eats more: We probably eat the same amount. He eats more during the day and I eat more at night. Maybe that is why he is thin and I am not!

Who's taller: Daniel by about 4 inches?

Who's smarter: Depends on the subject, but probably Daniel if you add it all up!

Who cooks dinner: Me, somtimes Daniel does, but mostly me. I don't even like to but the family has gotta eat!

Who does laundry: ME! Daniel might mess it up!! ha ha

Who does the dishes: We both do. Daniel ends up doing the dinner dishes a lot lately because I am taking care of Parker. He also unloads the dish washer a lot because he knows I HATE to unload it, but I will load it all day long if I have to I just don't want to put the dishes away.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed: If you are looking at the bed then Daniel sleeps on the right side.

Who mows the lawn: If we had a lawn it would be Daniel. I have never even touched a lawn mower. He mowed it when we lived at my dad's rental house.

Who wears the pants: Depends on the issue :) But I will let Daniel have them!

Who drives when together: Daniel always does.

Who pays the bills: I pay most of them. He does the credit card and the tithing though.

Who has more siblings: Daniel has 2 more siblings then I do. We probably would of have the same but his sisters came as three (identical triplets).

What have I left out: Daniel is an amazing husband and father. Staucie, Parker, and I are so happy to have him in our lives!

Staucie's Party

Staucie is turning 2 years old this Saturday (I can't believe I will have a 2 year old). We are having a party for her if anyone reading this wants to come. It is at our home and won't be anything big. Just some cake and ice cream at 3:00pm on the 23rd. We are also taking her to a place here in Pleasant Grove at 1:00pm called Kangaroo Zoo that has a bunch of those blow-up slides. (Staucie LOVES slides.) Anyone can join us there too. We don't have it rented out or anything, we are just showing up to play with her for a bit. If you are interested the website is http://www.kangaroozoo.net/.

Staucie
Staucie likes to get a spoon and eat from other people's cereal bowls. She is trying to steal my mom's cereal.
She likes hats and decided that this bucket might make a good one.

Valentine's

The night before Valentine's Day my brother Austin came over to make his wife a Valentine present. He made her a giant heart shaped box that was filled with goodies and balloons. Staucie was excited to color on the scraps, she thought she was helping him make it :)

My Valentine
My Valentine, Daniel, got me 2 dozen roses and an ipod nano for Valentine's Day. I wanted one when I saw Brittany open hers for Christmas. And I got a PINK one so I am very excited. If only I knew how to use it...
While Daniel was at work Staucie and I made him a Valentine poster. Staucie LOVED laying on the floor and coloring it all day.
Parker helped too.

The Fight Is Over!

For over a month now (Parker is 7 months old) I have been trying to get Parker to eat baby cereal. Almost everyday, and sometimes twice a day, I would have him try some. He has a very stubborn little mouth and he would not open it. He would keep it closed very tightly or spit. If I did get a bite in his mouth he would spit it out. My mom has been staying with me for awhile and she was trying to help me, but he just wouldn't budge. Saturday night Lindsay and Jason babysat and I told Lindsay to try and feed him and she said it was no problem and he just ate the cereal for her! Then Monday night we were at Austin and Amy's for dinner and I brought some cereal and Daniel held Parker and he ate it all! It was amazing!!!! And now Parker is eating it 3 times a day. Our next hurdle is to get him to stop spitting out the fruits and vegetables. He even spits out Cherrios. I think the not trying new foods thing comes from his great-grandma Dougherty which was passed on to her daughter, and then passed on to Parker's daddy. I believe the 3 girls, Ash, Linds, and Britt, also have this PROBLEM, ha ha!! But I am so glad that Parker is eating cereal. He is sleeping through the night again (7:30-7:30), instead of waking up at 6:00am, YEAH! We are so proud of Parker. He is a cute little eater. He leans forward for a bite with his mouth wide open.

My Staucie

One of our couches was picked up so it could be fixed, finally! (It was delivered with a tear and it took them 6 months to come pick it up again, so who knows if we will ever see it again!) Anyways, we just have the cushions and pillows and Staucie has loved jumping and playing on them. She makes me have Baby or Blue jump with her.
Staucie and Baby. Baby is wearing Staucie's beloved "blankie." She must really love her baby.
