We went on a walk outside in the freezing weather for some fresh air the other day. Parker wore his snow bunny outfit and I strapped him to me. I did not take a picture of Staucie because I did not want to try to bring my camera too since we had to bring the baby, the baby carrier, the blanket, the baby stroller, and the dog (which was tied to the stroller so it could be pulled behind, the dog rolls). We also live on the 3rd floor. Staucie was really cute until I told her it was time to go in, then everyone walking by was staring as she made a HUGE scene while I stood there with Parker strapped to me with her stroller and she was screaming and running away. Oh fun! Parker was fine. He just sat there and didn't move or make a sound!

The Scowl
Staucie was sitting in her chair reading a Mrs. Fields cookie recipe book and so I took a picture, but she looked at me with her "scowl" face. She gets this face from me. I give it to her at dinner time when she throws her food on the floor. I did not realize I made this face until she started doing it. She copies a lot of the things I do and it is funny to see the things I do come out of her. It makes me watch myself closer. It can be really funny.

Prayers
My brother, Austin and his sweet wife, Amy, are expecting their first baby and she is due February 21st. Amy went to the hospital Sunday night and they found a tumor in her lungs. It has been an emotional last few days. The doctors are 99% sure it is NOT cancerous, but can't do anything now because she is pregnant. They will take the baby early and are hoping to wait until Amy is 37 weeks. She will have to have surgery to remove the tumor after they baby is born and they will remove 2/3 of one side of her lungs. Please keep Amy, their baby, and Austin in your prayers.
Also, pray for my Parker who has had diarrhea for so long that now his poor little bummy is bleeding a little. (He is having lab to work done to make sure he is okay.)
We love Amy and Austin and pray that all will go as well as it can. We pray for that little baby to have strong lungs when she is born and for Amy to have strong lungs too. We pray that the delivery will go smoothly and that surgery will go well, and that Amy will recover quickly and be able to take care of her baby. We love you.

My Baby is Six Months Old
Parker turned 6 months old on the sixth this month. He had is check-up on Friday. He weighed in at 15.6 pounds (15%), was 26.2 inches long (43%), and his head was 43 cm (26%). He is going down the curve, but the doctor said he is doing just great. He has started to wake up between 5:00-6:00am ever since we got back from California. He wants to eat, but I make him go back to sleep until at least 7:00am. There is no need to wake up that early! I am tired. Hopefully he will go back to sleeping from 7:30pm to 7:30am like he used to.

Silly Staucie
I think I already have a post somewhere in here that is titled "Silly Staucie," but I really think she is silly. This is her bus. She calls it "a bussie." It is a "Wheels on the Bus Go Round and Round" book that turns into a bus. She likes to hang out in it.

Christmas in Redding

Parker tried Rice cereal for the first time (he will be 6 months on the 6th of January). He was really mad at first. He gets really mad when you try to put foreign objects in his mouth, like a bottle or a medicine dropper. He kept spitting as soon as the spoon would touch his mouth and grunting. Then he started yelling. We tried again after Staucie started eating his cereal and he LOVED it! We are still practicing once in awhile. It still falls back out a lot, but he is getting better. He does like it though. I knew he would once he tried it, he's a boy so of course he likes to eat!

Our Family Christmas Night
Thanks to my parents the kids had a lot of presents under the tree. They got toys and clothes. Staucie was so happy that she didn't want to go to bed. Parker was soooooo tired because his afternoon nap got messed up because we had to go to the airport to take Tyne, but he loves Tyne :)
