Our Silly Kids

The other day my nephew, Noah, came over to play (his mommy had to go somewhere). He laid on the floor while Bensen tried to share is plastic bag that he found. (Yes, I let my baby play with plastic bags. Ha ha. I WAS watching him. He likes the crinkle noise.) Noah didn't want the bag :)

I tried to get them with both their heads up but Noah's little head was bouncing all over the place (he is only 3 months old) and Bensen kept crawling towards the camera.
I tried to get a picture of Bensen on the couch like I have with my other kids, but he tried to jump off.
He was being so cute.
I just kept taking them because I think he is so cute!
This is my favorite I think.Bensen
Parker
Staucie
Are you supposed to climb through the Exer-Saucer?
One afternoon I found Staucie sitting in the doll's highchair and Parker was "feeding" her. It was funny.
I went to peek on Bensen after he went down for a nap and this is how I found him. He was sound asleep. I don't know what he was doing before he fell asleep but it must have been wild.
Cushion jumpin. I thought this picture was funny because Parker is falling off head first.

Bensen got this shirt from my dad. It reads, "BARF VADOR" and suits him well. He spits up all day long.
It was hard to get a picture. He kept wanting to roll over to see the kids. I made Staucie stand by me so I could take a picture and he could see her. Then she ran away and he followed.

Bensen

Bensen is getting all around the house these days. I can't keep him contained. And he is really fast. He is always going after the things he shouldn't play with, of course, like outlets, cords, small objects, crayons, paper, dirty shoes, tiny specs on the floor, etc. He does a lot of jabbering and has figured out that eating is fun. I have been giving him those "bitter biscuits" to suck on while the kids eat lunch and boy does he make a mess. He cries when he drops the biscuit. He makes me laugh.

Bensen has always really enjoyed taking a bath. He smiles the whole time and kicks and grabs at me, the washcloth, his feet, and anything he can get a hold of. (He is very "grabby.") Last night in the bath, he figured out that he can roll over and play in the water. Now I can't keep him on his back to wash him. Tonight he splashed around and played a lot. He doesn't care if he gets water in his eyes. He had a blast.

I took lots of pictures because I am his mom and I think he is absolutely adorable. Bensen goes and goes all day long. I am sad that he has grown so fast. He is such a happy baby. When he is excited he lays on his back with his legs straight out and they don't touch the ground. His little feet and hands wiggle and wiggle. His chin is up as he grins and makes cute happy sounds. He has 2 tiny teeth now and his constantly chewing on his fingers. He can almost get all 10 in his mouth at once :) He is a sweetheart and we are so happy to have him in our family.

Houston Temple, Kids, and...Cockroaches

Matt and Brittany came over with Noah on Saturday and watched our kids so we could go to the temple. It was our first time going to the Houston Temple. It was a lot smaller than Timpanogos but we managed to get lost inside anyway. It was a beautiful temple but much too hot to walk around outside so we snapped a picture and ran to the car.

We went to the library one morning and got some books and a movie. So when we got home the kids ate lunch on the floor while watching Winnie the Pooh's Heffalump Movie.
And Bensen. He is 7 months old now.
He is a funny little boy and makes me laugh. You can see his toe poking out of his pajamas. They are hand-me-downs from Parker.
He army crawls everywhere. I can't keep him out of the kitchen or the entry way.
Now...if only we could keep the giant cockroaches out.
Last night Daniel was turning off the lights and teasing me about how I hate the lights off in this house because I am afraid of bugs. He made fun of me as I ran to turn on the hall light while he turned off the light in the front room, and as I walked down the hall there was a giant cockroach in front of the kids' bathroom. I screamed and ran. Daniel said it was dying (probably because Terminex sprayed Monday morning) but it tried to fly at him when he was trying to flush it down the toilet. People here in Texas call them water bugs, but they are actually called American Cockroaches. Let's just call it what it is people. Daniel said he can't make fun of me anymore about the lights :)

Passing Out, Ice Cream, Pot Scrubbing, Where's The Baby, Naughty Sand Castles

Parker doesn't take a nap everyday anymore and one day when I was making dinner he fell asleep watching Backyardagains.
The boys.
You know its not your first kid when you give your 6 month old some ice cream.
I never gave Staucie or Parker anything like that until they were a year old.
I have now given Bensen some of my Otter Pops, ice cream, and I occasionally give him a pretzel rod to suck on.
Bensen was able to roll under the slide. He stayed for awhile.

Everyone loves Baby Tad.
Sometimes I make Parker scrub dishes. Ha ha.
WHERE'S BENSEN?
They decided to go digging in the potted plant.
Staucie said she wanted to make a sandcastle.
Naughty. Naughty.

Not My Plan

Not My Plan
My eyes long to see you
Now you behold Him
My arms ache for you
Now you know perfect love
My ears yearn for your voice
Now you sing His praises
I desire to feed you
Now you will never hunger
I anticipated the pitter-patter of your feet
Now you play at His pierced ones
I dreamed of years of love and laughter
Now you will never know pain
I loved to watch you grow and develop
Now you are perfect
This isn't how I planned
But I know He loves you
And Me.

The Kiddos & Other Random stuff

Rolling on the floor together is always fun. Bensen loves it when the kids pay attention to him. They can make him laugh like no one else can. It is so cute. They are all so good to each other and have so much fun together.

Take our picture, Mommy.
We went to "Pump It Up" on Friday, July 3rd with Matt and Brittany and Noah. Daniel and Matt had the day off for the holiday. Parker loved it and just kept climbing up the big slide over and over by himself. He was a brave little guy. His eyes got huge every time he went down. He looked scared but would go right back up.
Noah and Bensen having SO much fun. Ha ha.
Daniel and Staucie flying down the slide.
Parker and Matt going down. Parker went on his own after that!
So I do not allow my couch pillows to be on the floor in this house because the carpet is gross. I used to let them play on the pillows in our condo all the time. Well, the other day they put all the pillows on the floor. I asked Staucie what she was doing and she said, "They are not on the floor mom, they are on the rug. The rug is not dirty." ...How do you argue with that. (And if you are wondering why Staucie is in just her underwear...I don't know. I did dress her but then she decided she was done with that outfit. She goes through 10 wardrobe changes a day.)

The other night I found a gecko in our bedroom on the wall. I think it came in to eat all of our bugs. Daniel had to catch it of course since he is the man. He does not like reptiles or amphibians. I think he would rather catch a cockroach, ha ha. He got a big cup to capture it but it ran behind all of the junk in our bedroom. I still have boxes and junk against the wall because I think I am too depressed to finish unpacking and organizing. Anyways, Daniel had to move everything to find the gecko and low and behold...... A COCKROACH was hiding down there too. Gotta love it.
Daniel took a picture so we could blog it. Ha ha.
Daniel broke its leg off when he was trying to get it.
