TAGGED (Husband Edition)

1. What is his name? Daniel Gordon Lees, or Dan, or I call him Babe.
2.Who eats more? I think Daniel does because he eats several meals a day, I don't eat much during the day, I just get the munchies at night sometimes.
3. Who said 'I love you' first? Daniel, but I made him, sort of.
4. Who is taller? Daniel
5. Who is smarter? Daniel is. He got better grades and took some really hard classes. Mine were not that hard, but I can read better only because I like to and he doesn't :)
6. Who is more sensitive? Me
7. Who does the laundry? I do. Daniel does once in awhile if he is trying to help me out when I am slackin. But I have to fold the clothes and towels a particular way and put newly washed items on the bottom so things are rotated, which Daniel thinks is crazy so I like to do the laundry so I can keep things "perfect." ha ha.
8. Who sleeps on the rights side of the bed? When standing at the foot facing the bed, Daniel does.
9. Who pays the bills? I do. Daniel manages the accounts and pays off the credit card every month, but I am in charge of everything else.
10. Who cooks more? I do. I do NOT like to cook though, but I try to have dinner almost ready by the time he gets home from work so we can eat as soon as possible (he is hungry). It does get difficult with the kids, but I try.
11. What meals do you cook together? Not really any of them. I do most of the cooking.
12. Who is more stubborn? ME. I did not know I was stubborn until we got married.
13. Who is the first to admit they are wrong? Daniel (I am too stubborn)
14. Who has more siblings? Daniel. We almost had the same but then Daniel's mom decided to have identical triplets for her fourth pregnancy.
15. Who wears the pants in the relationship? Hmm... Daniel :)
16. What do you like to do together? Go out on dates, go to the temple, play with the kids, watch movies, and I like to play games, but he doesn't.
17. Who eats more sweets? Probably me. Daniel's favorite treat is nachos. I like candy and cookies.
18. Guilty pleasures? Daniel likes to play ANY sport that he possibly can, whenever he possibly can. It has slowed down since we got married and then started having kids.
19. How did you meet? He was my hometeacher straight off his mission. It took awhile before I got to know him, he was shy and I was not. When he wasn't my hometeacher anymore he started hanging out with a group of guys that we hung out with and as soon as I got to know him a little better I was smitten. He thought I was a stuck up bratt who drove a Mustang :) and a little loud and crazy.
20. Who asked who out? Daniel asked me out, but only after he KNEW I would for sure say yes.
21. Who kissed who first? Daniel kissed me, and I was shocked! but quite excited.
22. Who proposed? Daniel did, after I made him decide to marry me.
23. His best features? His shoulders, smile, eyes with all those eyelashes, and the way I fit perfectly into his chest.
24. His best qualities? There are so many reasons why I love Daniel. I had a lot of pretty yucky relationships and when I started dating Daniel I was blown away that someone would be so good to me. He respected me and opened doors for me, took me on dates and didn't ask 'who was paying.' I was able to be myself around him and I felt so safe with him. He is my Prince Charming and I love everything about him. He is a good father and husband too. He does a good job at taking care of us.
25. Tag, You're 'IT'? All the women related to Daniel, including his mom.

Door Banging

Parker loves to bang on doors and walls and whatever he can. The other morning he followed Daniel to the front door when he was leaving, which he does if he is not eating breakfast, and stood up and started banging on the door after Daniel left. Staucie came over to join him and they pounded a lot before I started videoing, I don't think of these things fast enough. They were cute together. I like it when they do things together. It is dark because the lights were off and I forgot to turn them on for the video taping.

Pillows

Staucie LOVES to throw all the pillows from the couches on the floor and play in them and on them. Parker likes to play sometimes too. Staucie was eating a snack in her little hole and gave Parker a drink of water when he crawled over.
Staucie diving into the pillows
Coming up for air
Playing peek-a-boo
Taking a water break
Parker wanted to take a go at it...
He's diving in...
And he made it!
He also needed a water break.

A Ride in the Laundry Basket

After bathtime one night Daniel took the kids for a ride in the laundry basket. They didn't want it to end, but they are over 40 pounds together. That's why Daniel has to push them I don't. I always tell Staucie that "Daddy will do it when he gets home." This goes for a number of things that I don't want to do. As soon as he walks in the door she runs screaming to him and asking him to do whatever it was she wanted 4 hours ago and DID NOT forget about it. They have a good Daddy!

Oh, Bubba loves Staucie

St. George (a few weeks ago)

These are some pictures I got from Katie of the kids in St. George. We didn't take any because we are boring, I guess. Parker loves to chew on the straws of Staucie's water cups and he can drink the water pretty good now too.
Staucie wanted to swing the WHOLE time we were at the park. Daniel was playing volleyball so I was pushing Staucie while Parker sat in the stroller. The other baby swing was occupied.
Grandma came and got Parker and took him to the shade.
It was really hot, but Staucie didn't want to stop swinging. They had water that was spraying from the ground and other things, but Staucie didn't want to play in the water to cool off, she just wanted to keep swinging.

Kiddies

I was trying to get some cute pictures of the kids for Daniel to have at work. I didn't use very many of them. Parker just wanted to eat Staucie's flashlight and Staucie wanted to see the pictures I took and wouldn't hold still long enough to take a good picture. But here are some just because I think my kids are cute.

Staucie likes to get in Parker's bed with him when I get him up from his nap. They like to jump together.

Eleven Months

While we were in Orlando Parker turned eleven months old. Less than a month now and he will be a year old. I can't believe how fast the time has gone. He is such a sweet little boy. He loves to get into everything. He gets into more than Staucie ever did. He likes to stand up to anything that he can, especially the entertainment center so he can push the buttons on the stereo. He also likes to stand up to the oven, the dishwasher, Staucie's little pink chair (which falls over), and the toilet. He likes to unroll the toilet paper too. He gets in there pretty fast before I can stop him. I always forget to shut the door. Staucie never cared about the bathroom unless I was in it. He is crawling now, no more army crawling. He loves baths and crawls as fast as he can to the tub when he hears the water turn on. He stands up to the tub and tries to climb in head first. He likes to walk while pushing things around the house. He crashes into stuff and whines until I help him turn. He gets mad if you take things away from him now and cries. He likes to stand in his bed and jump so sometimes he takes awhile to fall asleep. He now has 5 teeth, the top two finally cut through yesterday. He is so fun and we just love him to pieces! He is such a happy little boy and he loves to laugh at Staucie!

Happy Belated Birthday Great-Grandpa Dougherty!
Sorry I am late! I am not "with" it yet.
We love you and hope you had a great day.

Orlando

We got back from Orlando on Sunday. We were so excited to see the kids. They were playing at the playground with my mom when we got home so we went to meet them there. When Staucie saw me she took off running and lept into the air at me. It was such a wonderful greeting! I am so glad my mom was able to stay with our kids. We had a great time together. We went to Universal Studios one of the days...

We met the Simpsons
And Jaws tried to eat us
We stopped by the Kwik-E-Mart
On another day we went to Sea World and saw Dolphins
And Killer Whales, and lots of other animals
This is a mural
Aren't we hot!
This was our view from our hotel balcony. We stayed at a resort.

We went to the hot tubs and pools every night. On Saturday when Daniel was working I laid out by the pool and read, I also got burnt. I guess I didn't put the sunscreen on soon enough, and I am super white! It was really hot and humid, but it was lots of fun and Florida is beautiful. It is SOOOO green with lots of water. Thanks mom for staying with our kids!

Daniel's Birthday

Yesterday was Daniel's birthday. We celebrated with Jared, Bethany, and Sadie. Grandma and Grandpa Dougherty brought a cake over. We only took 3 pictures...

We blew them all out.
We went to St. George AGAIN this last weekend. We celebrated Grandpa Dougherty's 80th birthday and met most of the family down there for a party. When we got home again, we had dinner, and after Daniel gave Staucie a bath she fell asleep on the couch while I was bathing Parker and Daniel was doing dishes. We were all so tired from our trips to St. George.

Tomorrow Daniel and I are flying to Orlando. My mom is coming to watch the kids until Sunday. We are so excited to go. Daniel is going for work and I am going with him. We are going a couple days early to play. So many trips, I am still tired! :)
