Leave a Memory

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty cool (and funny) to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. :) If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Miniature Golfing

LAST Monday we went Miniature Golfing for Family Night. Staucie LOVED it. It was a lot of fun. Parker spent most of the time in his stroller, he was tired so he was pretty content to just sit there. It will be even more fun to go when Parker can walk around so he can play.

Staucie got a hole in one on the first hole (daddy helped).

Dump Truck

The kids push each other around in the dump truck a lot during the day. Staucie just has to climb in and Parker will crawl over and push her. The only problem is that he can't turn it so I have to follow them around turning it for him. It is much nicer when Staucie pushes Parker because then I can just watch. He gets mad and rocks back and forth if she stops too long. She is a little dangerous for me though. I get nervous as she flies through the kitchen turning corners. They are so cute when they play together.

Parker had his 1 year check up yesterday. He weighed in at 20.12 pounds (19%) and was 29 inches tall (25%). He got four shots and did not like them. But he did well and is doing well. Staucie was happy to be there because she wasn't the one being poked at. She even watched him get his shots.

The Sprinkler

Awhile ago we borrowed our neighbors hose because we have a sprinkler and we turned it on for the kids. Kim and her two kids played with us. First it was just the 4 kids but other kids came running. The sprinkler made a big puddle on the basketball court that they liked to play in, especailly the little ones. It cooled the cement down and was fun to splash in.

Parker just being cute
Colson and Staucie (the hose was his and he came out after his nap)

It was a good way for the kids to cool off when it was so hot outside. It is just too bad that some of the neighbors (they don't have kids at home) hate us now for it. We will have to try a new location next time.

Parker's Birthday Party

For Parker's birthday on Sunday Jared, Bethany, & Sadie, Lindsay & Jason, and Ashley & Brad came over to celebrate with us. Staucie blew out Parker's candle when he wasn't looking.

Staucie is very excitedStaucie eating a cupcake with her daddyParker got a red chair because he loves Staucie's. He falls out of it thoughParker got a big dump truck from my mom. He pushed it across the room and ran into a wall so then he climbed in. He was so cute. We pushed him back and forth across the room for awhile and he was all smiles. He got a huge play tent thing because he likes to crawl under thingsThere he is in it.And there is Staucie sticking her head through the holes. He did not like his cupcake. He got frosting on his hands and got mad and started waving his hands up and down trying to get the frosting off. We tried to feed him just cake but he was already mad and threw it on the floor.

Happy First Birthday, Parker Daniel!

Parker is one year old today. I am sad that the year has gone by so fast. I do not like my babies growing up so fast. Parker is a busy little boy who is constantly on the go. He does stop and give me hugs once in awhile though, which I love. He loves to eat and of course prefers to feed himself. He likes to drink milk from a sippy cup and does not like his bottle, which is good now that he is one. He loves tunnels and things to crawl under. He is always under the table and chairs. He likes to stand up to everything and he loves to open and shut all kinds of doors. He loves his big sister Staucie and I love to see them play together. He is such a smiley, happy boy!

Happy Birthday Parker!
We love you to pieces!

TAGGED (Husband Edition)

1. What is his name? Daniel Gordon Lees, or Dan, or I call him Babe.
2.Who eats more? I think Daniel does because he eats several meals a day, I don't eat much during the day, I just get the munchies at night sometimes.
3. Who said 'I love you' first? Daniel, but I made him, sort of.
4. Who is taller? Daniel
5. Who is smarter? Daniel is. He got better grades and took some really hard classes. Mine were not that hard, but I can read better only because I like to and he doesn't :)
6. Who is more sensitive? Me
7. Who does the laundry? I do. Daniel does once in awhile if he is trying to help me out when I am slackin. But I have to fold the clothes and towels a particular way and put newly washed items on the bottom so things are rotated, which Daniel thinks is crazy so I like to do the laundry so I can keep things "perfect." ha ha.
8. Who sleeps on the rights side of the bed? When standing at the foot facing the bed, Daniel does.
9. Who pays the bills? I do. Daniel manages the accounts and pays off the credit card every month, but I am in charge of everything else.
10. Who cooks more? I do. I do NOT like to cook though, but I try to have dinner almost ready by the time he gets home from work so we can eat as soon as possible (he is hungry). It does get difficult with the kids, but I try.
11. What meals do you cook together? Not really any of them. I do most of the cooking.
12. Who is more stubborn? ME. I did not know I was stubborn until we got married.
13. Who is the first to admit they are wrong? Daniel (I am too stubborn)
14. Who has more siblings? Daniel. We almost had the same but then Daniel's mom decided to have identical triplets for her fourth pregnancy.
15. Who wears the pants in the relationship? Hmm... Daniel :)
16. What do you like to do together? Go out on dates, go to the temple, play with the kids, watch movies, and I like to play games, but he doesn't.
17. Who eats more sweets? Probably me. Daniel's favorite treat is nachos. I like candy and cookies.
18. Guilty pleasures? Daniel likes to play ANY sport that he possibly can, whenever he possibly can. It has slowed down since we got married and then started having kids.
19. How did you meet? He was my hometeacher straight off his mission. It took awhile before I got to know him, he was shy and I was not. When he wasn't my hometeacher anymore he started hanging out with a group of guys that we hung out with and as soon as I got to know him a little better I was smitten. He thought I was a stuck up bratt who drove a Mustang :) and a little loud and crazy.
20. Who asked who out? Daniel asked me out, but only after he KNEW I would for sure say yes.
21. Who kissed who first? Daniel kissed me, and I was shocked! but quite excited.
22. Who proposed? Daniel did, after I made him decide to marry me.
23. His best features? His shoulders, smile, eyes with all those eyelashes, and the way I fit perfectly into his chest.
24. His best qualities? There are so many reasons why I love Daniel. I had a lot of pretty yucky relationships and when I started dating Daniel I was blown away that someone would be so good to me. He respected me and opened doors for me, took me on dates and didn't ask 'who was paying.' I was able to be myself around him and I felt so safe with him. He is my Prince Charming and I love everything about him. He is a good father and husband too. He does a good job at taking care of us.
25. Tag, You're 'IT'? All the women related to Daniel, including his mom.

Door Banging

Parker loves to bang on doors and walls and whatever he can. The other morning he followed Daniel to the front door when he was leaving, which he does if he is not eating breakfast, and stood up and started banging on the door after Daniel left. Staucie came over to join him and they pounded a lot before I started videoing, I don't think of these things fast enough. They were cute together. I like it when they do things together. It is dark because the lights were off and I forgot to turn them on for the video taping.

Pillows

Staucie LOVES to throw all the pillows from the couches on the floor and play in them and on them. Parker likes to play sometimes too. Staucie was eating a snack in her little hole and gave Parker a drink of water when he crawled over.
Staucie diving into the pillows
Coming up for air
Playing peek-a-boo
Taking a water break
Parker wanted to take a go at it...
He's diving in...
And he made it!
He also needed a water break.

A Ride in the Laundry Basket

After bathtime one night Daniel took the kids for a ride in the laundry basket. They didn't want it to end, but they are over 40 pounds together. That's why Daniel has to push them I don't. I always tell Staucie that "Daddy will do it when he gets home." This goes for a number of things that I don't want to do. As soon as he walks in the door she runs screaming to him and asking him to do whatever it was she wanted 4 hours ago and DID NOT forget about it. They have a good Daddy!

Oh, Bubba loves Staucie

St. George (a few weeks ago)

These are some pictures I got from Katie of the kids in St. George. We didn't take any because we are boring, I guess. Parker loves to chew on the straws of Staucie's water cups and he can drink the water pretty good now too.
Staucie wanted to swing the WHOLE time we were at the park. Daniel was playing volleyball so I was pushing Staucie while Parker sat in the stroller. The other baby swing was occupied.
Grandma came and got Parker and took him to the shade.
It was really hot, but Staucie didn't want to stop swinging. They had water that was spraying from the ground and other things, but Staucie didn't want to play in the water to cool off, she just wanted to keep swinging.
